Abstract (EN)
Sevim Burak, one of the different voices of Turkish literature, is especially famous for his short stories. Burak, with its new form and content experiments, takes Turkish story-writing out of the socialist-realistic tradition of the 1950s. Her stories, which use unconscious data and reflect a reality similar to those in dreams, are open to psychoanalytic reviewing. In this study, the stories were examined on the basis of Jung's Analytical Psychology. Jung's theory treats the literary text as a partially ontological entity and evaluates literary text from its own content. Using a literary structuralist method, Jung aims to reveal the basic character of the literary work independently of its creator. In this study, after giving basic information about Analytical Psychology and Sevim Burak, 21 stories selected from Sevim Burak's published 3 story books were included in the study and stories were examined both in archetypical symbolism and in other theories of Jung. In some stories Freud, Adler and Rollo May's psychoanalytic theories have been used as a resource book.
