Sheikh Müfid's Evâ'ilü'l-makâlât fi'l-mezâhibi ve'l-Muhtârât work

Sheikh Müfîd (d. 413/1022), the prominent poem, fiqh and hadith scholar of the Imamiyya Shi'i, is one of a number of scholars of special importance in the Shi'i world, who has an important role in the formation of Shi'i. Sheikh Müfid is a versatile scholar and he is one of the most well known theologians of his time. Therefore, we also need to evaluate this versatile Kelam scholar's work Müfid's Evâ'ilü'l-makâlât fi'l-mezâhibi ve'l-muhtârât in terms of the history of sects. At first, after giving brief information about Sheikh Müfid's life, his scientific personality, his works, teachers and students, we tried to give his opinions about sects by taking Sheikh Müfid's Evâ'ilü'l-makâlât fi'l-mezâhibi ve'l-muhtârât work. However, in our study, we have discussed generally the Sheikh Müfid's classification of sects and his approach to the sects. By evaluating the content of Sheikh Müfid's Evâ'ilü'l-makâlât fi'l-mezâhib'l-muhtârât, we have studied which topics it mentioned, his approach to the sects, and also we have evaluated one by one, especiallay in terms of Imamiyya and Mü'tezile, which topics they agree on and which topics they oppose to each other.
