Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Seyhan Erözçelik, one of the greatest poets of Turkish poetry of the 1980s, stands out among his peers for his penchant for experimental literature and his original approach to the production of content, style and poetic harmony. He regards Turkish poetry as a source of inspiration by looking at its history and tradition in a holistic way. From an early age, he realized that poetry was primarily a linguistic work and being no longer a callow, he entered the world of poetry with his first poetry book Yeis ile Tabanca, meaning "Despair and Gun". He revealed his position on poetry via his very first poetry book. He is such a poet who constantly renews his poetry, paves the way for further readings, and expands his poetry by changing the flow of his poetry whenever he thinks it is getting stationary. He loves Turkish language and shows, at least in his own poems, that the language is suitable for developing and being developed, and thereby creating original poems making him one of the leading poets of the generation. What makes us interested in his works is Erözçelik's unique attitude towards poetry. This study deals with the poems of Erözçelik, who has 10 poetry books in total, in terms of the language, style, structure and themes in them. The review is done by techniques of poetry analysis, and other fields of science are referred to when needed. This way, we aim to interpret Erözçelik's outstanding attitude towards poetry compared to the generation of the 1980s. Key Words: Seyhan Erözçelik, Poem, Poet.
