Determination of the views attributed to Imam Shafi in Şeyhîzâde's work named Mecma'ul-Enhür: The part of boundaries and retaliation

Şeyhîzâde Abdurrahman Efendi was a valuable Islamic lawyer who lived during the Ottoman Empire. He was a person who had served in different ways during his duty. He was a person known for his knowledge, wisdom and superior morals. His work named Mecma'u'l-enhur, which he finished a year before his death, is considered as one of the most credible commentaries of Ibrahim al-Halebî's fiqh book named Mülteka'l-ebhur. At the same time, the work named Mecma'u'l-enhur takes place among the sources of the famous Mecelle book. This work, which is the commentary of the Hanafi fiqh text, has taken its place in history as a comparative fiqh book by referring to the views of the other sects as well as the views of the Henafi Sect. First of all, by accepting Imam Shafi'i's work al-Umm as the original, opinions compared to Imam Shafi'i in the part of boundaries and retaliation of Şeyhîzâde's Mecma'u'l-enhur, were examined in the light of Mâverdî's el-Hâvi'l-kebîr, Cüveynî's Nihâyetü'l-matlab, Imrânî's el-Beyân, Ibnü'r-Rif'a's Kifâyetü'n-nebîh, Nevevî's, el-Mecmû', Ravzatü't-tâlibîn, Demîrî's en-Necmü'l-vehhâc, Müzenî's el-Muhtasar, Şîrâzî's el-Mühezzeb and Büceyrimî's Hâşiyetü'l-büceyrimî written in the Shafi sect. As a result, 110 proofs were identified. 64 of them are in the part of boundaries and 46 of them are in the part of retaliation. While it was seen that 41 of the ratios in the part of boundaries directly belong to Imam Shafi'i, it was determined that 11 out of 46 in the part retaliation do not belong to him.
