Foundlings related to handloom belonging to 2000 BC in Seyitomer Mound

This study with the heading of foundlings related to handloom belonging to 2000 BC. in Seyitömer Mound enabled us to analyse the weaving tools in Seyitömer Mound belonging to 2000 BC. Having different functions, two sorts of tools used for weaving job have been fixed.These are spindle whorl and loomweights.Spindle whorls have been evaluated under three main forms.Subtypes of these main forms have been constituted. Ornaments fixed on the spindle whorls have been studied under nine varieties.Loomweights have been studied under seven groups as type.Ornaments which were seen on the loomweights have been studied under four groups.As a result of this study, similar foundlings in the West Anatolia Mounds have been compared and cultural interaction has been tried to be discovered between these residentaL areas. We can say that weaving production in Seyitömer Mound was performed as a daily activity and oriented to internal market.Key Words: Seyitömer Mound, Middle Bronze Age, Weaving, Spindle Whorl, Loom weight.
