Özet (EN)

Political and socio-economic aspects of Middle Bronze Age in Western Anatolia appear to have been less well known when one compares it with Minoan Civilization on Crete and Assyrian Trade Colonies in Central Anatolia. It is due to a few number of excavations in Western Anatolia. However, Seyitömer is now becoming a key site for the period in question in Western Anatolia, as its various MBA levels has been explored in a wider area by the rescue excavations at the site. The main aim of this research is to define the function of MBA Building 24 in Level IVA in Seyitömer. Building 24 has been compared with other contemporary MBA buildings, and as well as preceding EBA buildings at the site in terms of settlement layout, building plans and their inventories. Inter-regional comparisions of Building 24 has also been applied. Finally, the factors influencing the building plans in EBA and MBA were also examined. Key Words: Seyitömer Mound, Middle Bronze Age, Architecture, House, Settlement Layout.
