13-15 in this study. An attempt has been made to reveal information about life in Anatolia based on the travel books written by travelers in the 19th century. Based on the descriptions of travelers such as Simon de Saint Quentin, Johann de Plano Carpini, Wilhelm von Rubruk, Ibn Said el-Mağribî, Hayton of Korykos, Marco Polo, Ibn Battûta, Johannes Schiltberger, Bertrandon de La Broquiére, Josaphat (Giosafa) Barbaro and Ambrogio Contarini, Anatolia's 13-15. Its social structure, daily life practices, cultural diversity, urbanization level and commercial activities throughout the centuries were examined. Travelers have expressed the naturalness, helpfulness, sincerity, compassion and many other beauties they saw and witnessed in Anatolia. In this context, an attempt was made to establish the relationship between the observations of the travelers and the historical reality of the period. In addition, it was intended to express how the perception formed in the Eastern and Western worlds contributed to the shaping of the image of Anatolia through the narratives of the travelers. In line with the information conveyed in the travelogues, it is aimed to trace the social and cultural structure of Anatolia and its transformation throughout the historical process.
