Abstract (EN)

In this study, depending on endemic Sideritis stricta Boiss. & Heldr. apud Bentham species taken from its natural habitats to the culture environment the changes that may ocur in terms of morphological, anatomical, ecological and essential oil contents were examined. Plant samples belonging to S. stricta were collected from four different locations, during the flowering period. Two of the locations were wild environments and the others were cultural environments in different regions of Antalya. Climatic features such as temperature, humidity and rain of the areas where plants were collected were determined. Physical and chemical analysis of soil samples and nutrient analysis of plant organs have been carried out. Above ground parts of plants belonging to the morphological characteristics were measured and photographed, most of the anatomic sections, root, stem and leaf were photographed. Essential oil components of sample plants were subtracted with the method of hidrodistilasyon and determined by GC and GC-MS. When we compare the results although all locations have similar climatic conditions, the location of Kaş where one of the cultural samples was collected, is more arid than other locations. The soil sample of wild environments was sandier than the soil sample of cultural environments. The soil samples of the area which the research was done was negligible in terms of alkali, salt, marl and rich in organic matter and found satisfactory in terms of macro-nutrients. It was seen that, by taken from their natural environments and grown in a different environment the plants had some morphological changes. Calyx, corolla and bracts of natural forms were bigger than cultural forms?. No significant difference was observed anatomically between natural and cultural samples. According to plant nutrition analysis, amount of potassium, calcium, manganese and boron quantities were higher in natural plant samples. Volatile oil yield was higher in natural forms. In volatile oils of all plant samples there were same main components however volatile oil composition showed variety. Main component rate in cultural samples collected from Kaş was similar to rates that of natural samples. These results indicates that when S. stricta cultivated under appropriate conditions, it is possible to get production with the similar quality as natural plants.
