Abstract (EN)
This research is carried out in the greenhouses at farmland connected to Iğdır University Agricultural Research and Application Center Directorate, with 3 Sorghum varieties (Rox, Early sumac and Leoti) 2 Sorghum bicolor x Sorghum sudanense varieties (Nutri honey and Hayday) and 1 Sudan grass variety (Gözde 80) applying 7 different salinity level (0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 dS/m) in 2015. In research, applied irrigation water salinities effects to Sorghum plant's plant length, plant forage yield, plant dry ratio, plant hay yield, percentage of tolerance to salt, leaf ratio, stem ratio, brunch rate, crude protein rate, NDF (neutral detergent fiber) ratio, ADF (acid detergent fiber) ratio, ADL (acid detergent lignin) ratio, DMD (dry matter digestibility), DE (digestible energy ratio), ME (metabolic energy), DMI (dry matter intake), RFV (relative food value) are examined. Plant height, plant forage yield, plant hay yield, salt tolerance percentages, bunch ratio, NDF, ADF and ADL ratios decreased with increasing irrigation water salinity. On the other hand, plant dry ratio, leaf ratio, stem ratio, crude protein ratio, DMD, DE, ME, DMI and RFV ratio increase. When Sorghum varieties are analyzed, Gözde-80 in plant length, plant dry ratio and ADF rates, Hayday in plant forage yield and crude protein ratio, Rox and Gözde-80 in brunch ratio, ADL and DMD, Rox and Hayday in plant hay yield, Nutry honey and Hayday in leaf ratio, Rox and Gözde-80 in NDF, Early sumac in stem ratio, Rox and Leoti in ME, Early sumac, Leoti, Nutry honey and Hayday in DMI ratio, Rox, Early sumac, Leoti and Nutri honey in SE, Leoti and Hayday varieties in RFV are the highest.
