Abstract (EN)
In this study, changes in functions of Simav Lake (Kütahya) as a wetland and methods that will be used in restoration of the lake were determined. According to the data, seeds of Lemna trifolia L. (%70,7), Alisma plantago-aquatica L., Carex acuta L., Cynodon dactylon L., Epilobium hirsutum L., Iris pseudacorus L., Polygonum aviculare L., Polygonum hydropiper L., Ranunculus repens L.,Ranunculus specius L. and Veronica anagallis-aquatica L. were identified in seed bank study of Simav Lake. It was also determined that water quality of the wetland was IVth Class according to The Regulation of Water Pollution Control. In conclusion, a-) Simav Lake is still functioning as a wetland and b-) the complete success may occure in restoration project of Simav Lake.
