Abstract (EN)

MACR-ANATOM CAL EXAM NAT ON ON ARTER ALVASCULAR ZAT ON OF ABDOM NAL ORGANS N SQU RRELS(SC URUS VULGAR S)ABSTRACTThis study has been planned to examine the vascularization of abdominalorgans of squirrels in detail and to contribute some information to this subject. Inthis study; 12 male, 8 female, totaly 20 squirrels were studied. On these squirrels;the vessels origanate from aorta abdominalis, distribution of these vessels, vascularisation of abdominal organs and variations were examined by opening ofthe abdomen. From cranial to caudal, sequentially; a. celiaca, a. mesenterica cranialis, a.renalis dextra, a. renalis sinistra, gonadal arteries (a. testicularis/a. ovarica), a.mesenterica caudalis and aa. lumbales (that go to lumbar vertebras) originatesfrom aorta abdominalis. Different from other species; in squirrels, aa. lumbalesdivides to ramus dexter and ramus sinister branches after their origins. A. celiacagives the branches of a. lienalis, a. gastrica sinistra and a. hepatica. Aa. gastricaebreves, a. gastroepiploica sinistra and rami pancreatici originates from a. lienalisand they contribute the vascularisation of stomach, spleen and pancreas. By itsbranches, a. gastrica sinistra supplies the stomach. A. hepatica gives the brancheswhich go to hepatic lobes and a. gastroduodenalis. A. gastroduodenalis is theorijin of a. gastroepiploica dextra and a. pancreaticoduodenalis caudalis, aa.jejunales, a. ileocolica, a. colica dextra and a. colica media branches divides froma. mesenterica cranialis. In this way, this vessel supplies some parts of smallintestines and large intestines. Renal arteries provides blood for kidneys; and a.abdominalis cranialis provides blood for abdominal muscules and gl. suprarenalisby its branch of rami adrenales (-supra) caudales. A. testicularis supplies thetestises, a. ovarica supplies the ovaries, a. mesenterica caudalis providesvascularisation of the terminal parts of intestine by its branches a. colica sinistraand a. rectalis cranialis obtains the vascularisation of the terminal parts of theintestine. In conclusion, visceral branches of aorta abdominalis in squirrels wereexamined in detail. In addition origine, course and distribution of all brancheswere also examined. It was observed that some arters show similarity with somedomestic animals and some rodents, but some arters show privileges belong toonly squirrels. Visceral branches of aorta abdominalis and vascularization ofabdominal organs in squirrels were firstly determined with the present study. Thefindings of the present study have contributed to some new informations to theknowledges on this subject. Keywords: Squirrel, sciurus vulgaris, aorta abdominalis, anatomy, thesupply arterial, the organs of the cavum abdominis.
