Abstract (EN)

The dance project "Three" which is the subject of this thesis, reveals both physical and intellectual reflections of the personal experiences, observations and ideas of Sernaz Demirel Temel-the choreographer of this performance, collected within the scope of human relations and behavior. The choreographer, has created the choreography which is the subject of this thesis, by blending her personal perspective about "existence" on conceptual basis, with the inspiration she has taken from various written, visual and audial sources she has made use of/utilized. Dance Project "Three", involves a synthesis of the conclusions drawn from the International Human Rights Declaration, the documentary of Peter Jackson "Zeitgeist" and the book "A New World" by German author Eckhart Tolle. "Three" has been developed by transforming the ideas attained starting out from all these various sources and inputs, into an artistic work by means of a dance project. Dance Project "Three", has been brought into being, so as to present a synthesis of the choreographer related to her inspirations and the emotional and intellectual reflections of these. Eventually the performance artists that have staged the result/their impression through/by means of the dance project "Three" -whose main subject is the ego and its impact on human relations- have made an effort to invite people, who seem to focus in an overwhelmed state, only on their own wishes and desires amidst the daily rush, to regain consciousness and to review their life and goals once again, at least over the course of a dance performance. Even though each performance has a choreography that consists of formerly prepared movements and flows, with the impact of the dancers and the spectators who represent the human factor of the work, each performance always differentiates from both the preceding and the following ones. Art is a phenomenon, at all times making people stop and think, question and seek for the better and the truest of all. Key words: Human Relations, Greed, Ambition, Conflict, Ego
