Cinema and time: The cinema of Ömer Kavur

Abstract (EN)

Cinema is an art of time. Time is sculpted, is sealed, is formed through the medium of cinema. The liaison between time and cinema appears with respect to time as content, concept of cinematic time, the liasion between image and time at various levels. İn this sense, notion of time, time as a concept of philisophy gain cinematic character at the level of content. On the other hand, image becomes time, time becomes image else time becomes subjected to action, time becomes an indirect form with regard to constructed cinematic universe and the style of montage, notion of montage appears in this constructed cinematic universe. Besides, the character of cinematic time takes form with regard to constructed cinematic universe and the style of montage, notion of montage appears in this constructed cinematic universe. İn respect to this, the constructed cinematic universe and the style of montage, notion of montage form this constructed cinematic universe is constituted with regard to definite notion of time, definite philisophy of time and definite notion of time, definite philisophy of time lie behind constructed cinematic universe, style of montage, notion of montage. Ömer Kavur is one of the considerable directors concerns concept of time, notion of time cinematically. İn this regard, in this study, the cinema of Ömer Kavur is reviewed within the context of concept of time, concept of cinematic time, liason between image and time and the conceptual background of concept of time, notion of time appears in the cinematic universe created per Ömer Kavur. İn this study, it is argued that concept of time, notion of time does not become within the context of imaganary character of time, temporal character of image in the cinematic universe created per Ömer Kavur and it is argued that time gains cinematic character within the context of subject, content, dialog and time becomes by means of subjected to action, an indirect form, a literary form in the cinematic universe created per Ömer Kavur.
