Abstract (EN)

In this study, the Visual, Linguistic and Auditory indicators of food in movies are examined with Propp's narrative (tale) analysis with the use of the main narrative constructor and the use of time, space and body language indicators from the auxiliary elements. In the study it has been seen that the visual indicators, linguistic indicators and auditory indicators of food can be examined through a film with a semiotic approach, primarily based on the connection between gastronomy, food and cinema. In this study it has been seen how food is perceived by five senses. In movies about food in the millennial age, signs are generally presented in a way that highlights the senses. It is seen that these movies have the power to activate the emotions with the color, sound and presentation of the food in the audience. In the study, in the context of food culture and gastronomy discourse, the ways in which the symbols and signs are used in the food scenes in the movies are used and constructed, their articulation can give information about the taste of the food in that scene to the individual/audience. The audience can visually and audibly see whether the food is delicious or tasteless. In movies, food is conveyed to the audience with a talismanic narrative.
