Abstract (EN)

In this study, the transformation of the concept of love in philosophy into a cinematic philosophy of love is discussed using the concept of "cinelove". The concept of cinematic love has been examined within the framework of the philosopher Gilles Deleuze's cinematic philosophy. Cinematic philosophy is to produce what philosophy produces with concepts, with images in cinema. After all, thought is that which has both philosophical and artistic aspects. As Deleuze emphasized, philosophy; with concepts, art; by sense, science; thinks in terms of functions. Cinema not only appeals to our sense of pleasure with its conceptual, creative and thought-provoking aspect, but also offers us a unique logical thinking method. In this study, it has been tried to reach new and creative ideas in cinema through the concept of love. In the first part of the thesis, the relationship between cinema and philosophy, based on the works of Gilles Deleuze, is discussed, and the concepts of motion-image and time-image are emphasized. In the second part, the views of different philosophers are presented and the concept of love is discussed over its conceptual and theoretical dimensions. In the last part of the thesis, Issız Adam (2008) and Unutursam Fısılda (2014) by Çağan Irmak; Kader (2006) and İtiraf (2001) films by Zeki Demirkubuz were analyzed within the framework of the cinematic philosophy approach and the concept of cine love, which were presented in the first two chapters. In the 2000s Turkish cinema, in the films of Çağan Irmak and Zeki Demirkubuz, it was observed that besides the differentiation in the transfer of love from written philosophy to the cinema, it also changed according to motion-image and time-image films. Thus, love has not only undergone a general transformation with the cinematographic image, but has also changed according to the structure of the images in the cinema. In the study, the transformation of the concept of love, which is one dimensional in written philosophy, into a new and alternative concept of love -cinelove- with the images in the movies, has been revealed, thus making it visible that the cinema has the potential to show the unthinkable.
