Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to describe how Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can be used effectively in the process of foreign language teaching and learning by clarifying NLP techniques. The first chapter introduces the background, aim and the scope of the study.The second chapter contains the definition, history, presuppositions, pillars and the areas of NLP as well as the `Beliefs and Values? which are two essential elements of NLP.In the third chapter, the significance of language is revealed from the point of view of NLP by analyzing the NLP-Language relation under the headings of Framing, Different Points of View, Metaphors and Word Power.In the fourth chapter the role of NLP in foreign language education and the importance of learner styles in the process of learning are explained.The fifth chapter presents a study on Teaching-Learning a Foreign Language with NLP carried out in Russia. Then a Model of Teaching-Learning a Language Based on NLP Techniques is presented. The class materials prepared in accordance with NLP Techniques are used in the lesson performed in parallel with NLP Techniques. Other NLP-Based Lesson Activities which could not be practised due to the time limitation are also demonstrated in this chapter.The sixth chapter contains the comments and suggestions of both the teacher and the students regarding the NLP-Based Model Lesson presented in the classroom under the headings of Conclusion and Suggestions. Finally, class materials, which are prepared for the NLP-Based Model Lesson, are included under the heading of Appendices.
