Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this study is to accurately select the necessary components to meet the energy demand of a solar-powered water pumping system, design the system, and calculate the system's payback period from an economic perspective. In this study, a benefit-cost analysis was conducted to assess the energy needs of the planned drinking water facility in Kabala Village, Sinop Province, when powered by solar energy. The pump to be used in the system is a solar-powered deep well water pump with a flow rate of 8 m³/h and a power of 3.4 kW. Solar energy will be utilized to meet the system's daily energy needs, and a total of 15 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels, each with a power of 640 Wp, will be used. For energy storage, LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries were chosen, and the system's energy storage capacity is provided by 12 batteries, each with a 12V 200Ah capacity. Three 50A MPPT charge controllers are used to ensure the efficient operation of the solar panels. In the system design, factors such as sunlight duration, daily water demand, and energy efficiency have been considered. Based on the calculations, the system is expected to pay itself off economically in 9 years. This study demonstrates that photovoltaic systems provide an environmentally friendly and economic solution for meeting energy needs, especially in off-grid areas
