Abstract (EN)

In this study, airborne pollen grains and allergenic plants taxa of Sinop province were investigated by using a hirst volumetric trap Burkard from 01th January 2016 to 31th December 2017. During two years period, a total of 119361 pollen grains which belonged to 87 taxa were recorded. From identified taxa, 49 belong to arboreal (71.12%) and 37 taxa to nonarboreal (23.58%) plants and Poaceaee (5.29%) pollen grains. In the investigated region, from arboreal plant taxa Cupressaceae/Taxaceae (32.67%), Pinaceae (15.51%), Morus sp. (5.50%), Quercus sp. (2.76%), Alnus sp. (2.24%), Corylus sp. (1.48%), Carpinus sp. (1.43%), Juglans sp. (1.43%), Fraxinus sp. (1.33%), Olea europae (1.05%), and from nonarboreal plant taxa Urticaceae (11.16%), Poaceae (5.29%), Ambrosia sp. (4.31%), Amaranthaceae (3.21%), Mercurialis sp. (2.05%) were responsible for the greatest amounts of pollen grains in two years. According to the average of two years, maximum pollen concentration of investigated region is recorded in March. The increase in the temperature and wind speed have affected the amount of pollens positively and also effected the precipitation negatively. The results are compared with the meteorological factors. The pollen calender of Sinop province was prepared by using the number of pollen grains falling a week
