Some morphological and biological characteristics of natrix tessellata (Ophidia:Colubridae) from Sinop Sarikum manional reservation area

In this study, 26 samples of Natrix tessellata (18??, 5??, 3 Juvenil) which were collected from Sarıkum Manional Reservation Area are examined in terms of their pholidosis characters, body measurement-ratio, values and color-pattern features and morphological characteristics of the population is introduced. Information is presented about ecological characteristics of the localities where the species have been collected. Compared with the literature data, the data obtained from samples determines that the characteristics of samples gathered from Sarıkum are in compliance with characteristics of Natrix tessellata subsp. tessellata.
