Analysis of special cases that are encountered at company valuation

Company valuation is the most significant step of the special processes like company take-overs, outsourcing, restructuring, privatization, initial public offering, merger and acquisition. Every company or enterprise has the aim of creating a value beside carrying out its business activities. Evaluation of this value is determined via the company valuation approaches and methods included in approaches. In this study, basic concepts of company valuation are explained and their connections with the other disciplines are examined as a result of an extensive literature review. After that, company valuation process and the topic of which analysis methods should be used throughout this process are explained in detail. This thesis examines the special cases that are encountered in the valuation of group companies, start-ups and negative earning companies in accordance with the approaches and methods in the company valuation process. The companies that are analyzed in this study are real companies but their names and financial data about them are fictionalized.
