Abstract (EN)
Turkey has one of the biggest natural zeolite reserves in the world. In this master of science thesis, natural zeolite from Sivas-Yavu region, which has limited studies on literature, and its Ca2+ andK+ modified forms by batch method and their properties investigated by XRD, XRF, DTA-TG and FT-IR analysis and their surface areas and average pore diameters were found by BET adsorption isotherm and their SEM images were taken.Investigations showed that, natural zeolite from Sivas-Yavu region has two zeolite phase, which were found to be clinoptilolite and mordenite. Also, it was found to be that this natural zeolite has a high Ca rate. Due to modified forms of natural zeolite has a greater surface area, it can be used in industry and it can be used as a molecular sieve for big molecules.
