Abstract (EN)

The increase in environmental degration and destruction in the world and in our country has forced a social transformation and challenge. The base that includes this transformation and challenge has created a space for itself within the framework of the demands that were started by civil activism. Undoubtedly this field has been enriched not only with environmental protection demands, but also with polical and social demands consisting of different components. Our research has focused on an analysis and eyaluation based on civil environmental movements. İn this analysis, neo- liberal policies and capitalist economic policies are discussed as the main trggering factors of these movements and with a critical approach. The Eastern Black Sea region, which is the richest region of our country in terms of natural vegetation, was chosen as the sample area of our research. In order to understand the environmental destruction and environmental movements in the region, 4 nongovermental organizations active in the region have been determined. Environmental movements in the region were interpreted and evaluated by using the discourse analysis technique on the activities of these civil structures. İt is thought that the evaluations made will make an important contribution to the literature as it will allow a closer understanding of the environmental problems in the region.
