Abstract (EN)

The Eastern Mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki), an invasive species that spread from America to the world in the 1920s and 1930s to eradicate malaria, can now be found in nearly all freshwater bodies across our country. This species shares the same diet as our native fish species. Due to their aggressive feeding behavior, which includes consuming the eggs and larvae of native species, they pose a significant threat to local fish populations, even leading to the extinction of some species in certain areas. For this reason, the threat potential of the Eastern Mosquitofish and the local species it endangers will be tested in functional response experiments. The results obtained will be converted into numerical data using various statistical programs and will be compared accordingly.
