Abstract (EN)

This study which consists of introduction and five chapters aims to study "Gülşen-i Ahbâr" which is the translated version of "Pendnâme" and is written by Siyāhīzāde Ali Efendi who lived in the eighteenth century and was used to sign by his nickname "Tabi". Furthermore to compare "Gülşen-i Ahbâr" with the original version "Pendnâme" and to transform the Arabic font to the corresponding Latin font. The introduction consists of study aims, contents and method. In the first chapter the advice is mentioned as a word, as a term and its importance and evolution in the Islamic literatures (Arabic, Perisian, and Turkish). The second chapter is about El-Attār and his life, education, Sufism, Literary character and works. Then the chapter presents his poem which called Pendnāme. The third chapter is about Siyāhīzāde and his life, Literary character, Works. Then the chapter presents his translated version which called "Gülşen-i Ahbār". The fourth chapter is the evaluation of the "Gülşān-ı Ahbār"and then comparing it with the original version. The fifth chapter contains the transformed text from Arabic to Latin. The only avaliable copy of the "Gülşen-i Ahbâr" is located in Süleymaniye Library within Ibrahim Efendi's collection (n:619), which was used as a main source for this study.
