Abstract (EN)

One of the biggest problems of social life is the violation of women's organizations. The concept of violation should not only mean violence, deprivation of education, or exploitation of labor in business life. The situation where they are exposed to violations in social life and to a large extent is the inability to exercise their right to political representation sufficiently. However, the Republic of Turkey was founded on the foundations of democracy, and laws were made in which women began to use their right to vote and be elected in a short time. Today, it is a clear fact that women's right to be elected is not sufficiently implemented. For democracy to be functional, everyone in society must be represented equally. At this point, civil society in the modern sense comes into play and is an effective tool for democracy to achieve its goal. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are the most important element in preventing authoritarian practices and increasing political participation in countries where the democratic system is implemented. For this reason, one of the most effective ways to eliminate the lack of political representation for women, who are considered to be the largest segment of women who lack representation in Turkey, is to work for women's organizations to political representation. Especially when the situation is evaluated in terms of women's branch organizations within political parties, although it is a very important step towards the political representation of women, the lack of representation and their visibility in terms of other NGOs defending women's rights and the political parties they are affiliated with have been tried to be explained. In the theoretical part of the study, the concept of NGOs and the perception and implementation of women's organizations were tried to be explained. In the field research part, interviews were conducted with participants who were active in women's organizations operating in Çorum. Despite the widespread establishment of women's branches, the reasons for the lack of representation of women in political life have been resolved through their functioning and relations with NGOs
