Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, cartoons and humor culture has been investigated for post 2002 which is an important milestone for Turkey. Technology is advancing rapidly and becoming an integral part of the world. Thus, information is accessible without regard to time and space. It was researched how the easily accessible technology and information affects the cartoons and humor produced about political parties. In the first chapter, the concepts of communication, humor and caricature are explained in detail. In order to better understand the development of the cartoons in Turkey, it has been conducted on the development of the cartoon world over. In the second part, the concept of politics, political parties and the parties received votes in the general election rates in Turkey were examined. In the third section, from the date of the Republic, it is considered humor newspapers and magazines published in Turkey during certain periods. In order to evaluate each period within itself, preliminary information was given about the social and political developments of the period and the study was carried out chronologically. In this thesis, literature was reviewed. The biggest challenge was the lack of a printed archive of humor newspapers and magazines. The largest archive in this field is a few web pages that have been specially prepared and often contain the covers of magazines.
