Investigating science and tecnology literacy levels and attitude intented for science teaching of classroom teachers candidates

Continuation of technological development rapidly, it brings out effects of these developments in all areas of life. Science is one of these areas, soscience and technology literacy has mattered. The main purpose of this study was to determine the level of classroom teacher can didates' attitude intended science teaching and basic science literacy level and to determine the relationship between attitude intended science teaching and basic science literacy. To achieve this purpose, it has been performed a survey application which including 198 participants. The survey application consists of three parts. In first part the Demographic Information Form to determine the personal information of the participants, in second part Attitude Scale intended for Science Teachingand in third part Basic Science Literacy Test, a total of 112 questions was asked. According to results there are positive relations between basic science literacy and science teaching. There fore, the attitudesint ended for science teaching positively have been developing as well as increase of basic science literacy.
