Abstract (EN)

Present study aimed to investigate the unethical behaviors of the primary teacher training students according to variables of age and gender. The descriptive screening model, which is frequently used in the field of educational sciences, was practised in the study. A total of 174 senior pre-service teachers, 113 of whom were female and 61 were male enrolling in the course of teaching practice of Giresun University, Faculty of Basic Education, Department participated in the study. Personal information form was used to determine the demographic characteristics of the students and Unethical Behaviors Related to Teaching Profession Scale was used to determine the unethical behaviors encountered in the teaching practice course. In the analysis of the data gathered in the study, SPSS 22.0 program, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Mann Whitney U test and analysis were utilised. As a result of the study, the pre-service teachers reported that common unethical students behaviours in teaching practice course include flirting with other students with the ones not taking their courses. Of the common behaviors of the pre-service teachers about the teaching profession (responsibilities related to their duties) in the teaching practice courses include coming to school by taking alcohol or taking any drugs. Making negative judgement-statements about any other colleague about any other colleague. In addition, it was concluded that the unethical behaviors of the pre-service teachers did not show statistically significant difference according to the variables of age group and gender. As a result, it possible to say that pre-service teachers faced various problems related to students, colleagues and teaching profession, and variables of age and gender were not significant determinants on the unethical behaviors encountered.
