Abstract (EN)
In today's conditions, the road to superiority for countries passes through factories, production facilities and domestic and foreign companies that create added value. Developing countries want to attract foreign capital investments to their countries due to its accelerating effect on economic development. Multinational companies also tend to foreign investments and new markets that will create a competitive advantage for themselves over their competitors. Governments may have to make various concessions to attract multinational companies to their countries. Because with globalization, multinational companies have also had the option to choose between countries that can create the most suitable conditions for them. Although these concessions involve various risks for states, they can serve development in the long run. The important thing here is that the states maintain the balance well. In the new international system formed within the framework of neoliberal policies, multinational companies that have reached the peak of their power are implementing various strategies on governments and societies in order to guarantee their existence and income. In this study, the strategic practices of multinational companies on the state, society and culture in the post-cold war period were investigated. In the study, using the literature review technique, cultural change plans, corporate social responsibility projects, sponsorship and lobbying activities of multinational companies were evaluated in terms of political economy through Shell, a multinational energy company.
