Abstract (EN)
In this study, The New Government Building Governor's Office to be built in Çankırı was examined and the maximum cooling load of this building was calculated under different outdoor air conditions. The maximum cooling load of the structure; glass on the surface of the building, technical specifications of the glass, the direction of the building, the thermal insulation material used on the exterior walls, floor and roof of the building and the thickness of the insulation material (changing between 6-10 cm) were calculated separately with the help of MTH (Mechanical Installation Calculations) Cooling Load Calculations program. and the results were compared. The investigation revealed that when the glass properties were changed, there was a large decrease in the maximum cooling load. By using glass with low heat conduction and sunblind blinds, the amount of energy was increased approximately by 21.17% in summer season.As a result of the calculations, it was determined that the effect of insulation thickness on cooling load is considerably lower than that of glass.
