Celebrity culture existing since the beginning of the ancient times with different images has transformed with capitalism and it has been restructured for the benefit of hegemony. That the media effect on daily life has increased reflects the celebrity culture. Media has regenerated this culture in accordance with its own political economy. Today?s celebrities meet the mass through media; many people know well and have knowledge about the celebrities not through face to face communication process but through media. As the television and internet technology is widespread, celebrity culture shaped by certain values in the past is now defined through the media?s representation.Celebrity journalism has drawn attention as one of the most important concepts of the journalism medium which has changed and transformed in accordance with the new right-wing politics after 1980. Celebrity journalism which can be a reflection of celebrity culture in press, implies firstly celebrity journalists, and then those who write about celebrities and later media professionals who are famous with whom they are rather than what they write.
