Abstract (EN)

The issue of children working on the street appears to be one of today's most important social problems. The issue of homeless children/street children initially took the attention of the public agenda around the World in the 1980s, then, academic studies have been undertaken on it since early 1990s in our country. These studies have focused to determine the extent of the problem. The child care centres have been opened with the contributions of non-governmental organizatioons. With regards to this process, legislative arrangements have been put in place and " a service model" has been developed in which regarding organizations and public services work coordinated. This model piloted in 8 provincial regions between 2006 and 2010, and continued to implement it spreading through spreading in other provinces. In this study, Bursa Provincial Action Plan and its implementation has been examined which is a part of (Child Care ) Service model for Street and working children. The aim of the study does not bring a proposal of new model, rather, placing the conditions of street and working children to the public attention, evaluating the results of the model implementation and offering a number of recommendations in order to solve the problem.
