Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, I aim to reinterpret Marcuse's theory of radical social change through Richard Shusterman's concept of somaesthetics. My goal is to highlight Marcuse's relevance today and create a dialogue between two historically opposing philosophical traditions: critical theory and classical pragmatism. I argue that while somaesthetics does not provide direct solutions to the challenges of social transformation, its conceptual framework and practices can be restructured into what I call "critical somaesthetics", offering a more concrete and practical dimension to Marcuse's theory of radical social change.
