Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on the importance of work motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of motor couriers engaged in last mile delivery activities. The main purpose of the research is to examine in depth the working experiences of motor couriers and evaluate them, especially in terms of work motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Given that last-mile delivery services are becoming increasingly important as e-commerce grows rapidly and consumers' demands change, this research highlights that understanding the work experiences of motor couriers and improving efficiency for businesses is a critical element. This research focused on motorized couriers involved in last mile delivery in Gaziantep province. Survey method was used in the data collection process and the data obtained was analyzed with the SPSS 21.0 statistical package. According to the findings, it was determined that the majority of the participants were male, generally between the ages of 26-33, and had undergraduate education. Additionally, it was determined that the majority of the participants were married and their monthly income was between 25,001 TL and 30,000 TL. The construct validity and reliability of the scales were found to be high and it was concluded that they were suitable for analysis. The finding that work motivation has a positive effect on job satisfaction and job satisfaction has a positive effect on organizational commitment is important. Additionally, it has been observed that job satisfaction and motivation explain a large part of the change in organizational commitment. As a result of the mediation analysis, it was found that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between motivation and organizational commitment. The findings of this research provide an important road map for understanding and improving the work experiences of motor couriers. Business managers and human resources experts can develop strategies to increase employee motivation and satisfaction by taking these findings into account. These strategies can both increase employee satisfaction and increase the efficiency and competitiveness of businesses. Therefore, it is important for businesses to evaluate the results of this research and make relevant strategic decisions.
