The use of WebQuest in social studies lessons

Aim of this research is to search the effect of WebQuest material which prepared on the suject ?our Country?s Sources? in Social Sciences Lesson at 6th grade in Primary School on student?s success and attitude, 41 students who study at Kemalettin Sami Paşa Primary School in Bolvadin, Afyonkarahisar in 2012-2013 education years join this research. This research was made in quasi experimental model with the first test ? last test control group. Independent variable of this research is the learning environment which designed for WebQuest instruction tecnique. Dependent variable is the students? academic success and their attitude to the lesson. For eveaulating the datas in this resarch, (ANCOVA) analysis was made over students? avarage values from academic success test and average values of points which taken from attitude measure. Because of this SPSS 18.0 For Windows statistical pocket program was used. According to the findings which obtained from this research we get this result: There is an positive effect of WebQuest material which prepared on the subject ?Our Country?s Sources? in Social Sciences Lesson at 6th Grade in primary school on student?s success and attitude.
