The usage of the maps and the graphs at social studies education supporting level

The aim of this study is to suggest the results of the usage of maps and graphs, which is very important at both at education and daily life, at the primary school anda to suggest the solution of its problem. At the begining of the study, the aim of the study vas revealed, the methods of the getting information were determined and the early studies were researched. At the first section, the information about the research model, the earth, the means of the getting datum, getting datum and the statistics method of analysis were given. At the second section, the internal and external researches that are directly or indirectly related to social studies training and education were mentioned. At the third section, the discription of the social studies and its importance was emphasized. Knowledge about the aims of the social studies , its methods, its principles, maps, graphs and the other materials which are used for the social studies education and the problems of the social studies education was given. At the fourth section, the usage of the maps and the graphs was emphasized. The maps and graphs in the social studies book were researched. At the fifth section, teachers? and students? appraoch about the usage of maps and graphs was determined anda the problems were tried to be solved. At the sixth section, problems of the usage of maps and graphs was suggersted and solutions were researched. At the seventh section, the results were evoluated. The problems and the solutions of the usage of the maps and the graphs at the social studies lesson were determined. The suggestions about social studies lesson were tried to be studied. These suggestions are related with the practise and the researches will be done.
