Abstract (EN)
The level of development in the world and our country depends not on progress on a single field but on many areas. One of the basic elements that will ensure progress and development in many areas is undoubtedly education. As a result of the research done lately, different developments and changes in Social studies lesson in the class or outside of the class provided a basis to use different techniques like cooperative learning, learning through invention and multiple intelligence. One of these different approaches is brain-based learning approach that advocates learning for different intelligence areas, which are appropriate for the natural functioning of the brain, which constitutes the indispensable element of education. The purpose of this study is to reveal the opinions of Social Sciences teachers on brain based learning. The sub-objectives of the research are to overcome the deficiencies seen in the knowledge, belief and application sub-dimensions of the Social Sciences Teachers for brain-based learning in the classroom environment. A descriptive research method is used in this scanning model in accordance with this purpose. Brain based learning method was developed by Klinek and was adopted in Turkish by Demir, is practiced on to 127 Social Studies teachers, the data which is computerised was resolved via SPSS program. As a result of the research, it is determined the fact that sex factor has a significance on brain based learning scale grades. However, according to the belief and application level, there is no significant difference between sexes. The information abaut brain based learning scale grades shows the relation between age factor, work experience and educational background on belief and application. The result of the research shows that; there is a high significance according to the sex factor in councetenance of temalesin the knowledge level of brain based learning scales. However, it is undetermined the fact that there is a significant difference in accordance to the application and belief level of the different sexes. It is determined the fact that there is a significant relation between sex factor, age factor and work experience in brain based learning technique.
