Abstract (EN)
This research aims to reveal the anxiety levels of Social Studies teachers regarding out-of-school learning in terms of different variables. A survey model based on quantitative research methods was used in the research. The participants of the research consisted of 231 Social Studies teachers working in Balıkesir. The "Out-of-School Learning Anxiety Scale" developed by Üner (2019) was used as the data collection tool in the study. Jasp and SPSS 24 programs were used to analyze the research data. Frequency, percentage, independent groups t-test, and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used in the data analysis. According to the findings of the study, Social Studies teachers are somewhat anxious about out-of-school learning. While a significant difference was found between the groups only in terms of the school type variable in the study in favor of those working in public school, no significant differences were found between the groups in terms of gender, seniority, socio-economic environment, faculty of graduation, training on out-of-school learning, and participation in out-of-school activities. In light of the findings obtained in the study, it is recommended that measures be taken to reduce the concerns of Social Studies teachers and that studies be conducted to reduce the problems experienced in out-of-school learning.
