Social Science and Science students from the comparison of emotional intelligence and empathy level: Sectional study

The purpose of the disclosure of research on emotional intelligence and emotional intelligence model, the School of Social Sciences next to examine the components of empathy and empathy theory and high school students in science is to compare the level of emotional intelligence and empathy. This study aimed to evaluate the various social and demographic variables of emotional intelligence and empathy in the School of Social Sciences and Science High School students. Research methods are questionnaire survey method used is a Personal Information Form, is composed of Empathic Tendency Scale and Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale. Results were obtained from the 308 students. 161 of them (52.3%), Social Sciences High School, 147 of (47.7) is composed of Science High School students. Social Sciences in important results of the study in Science High School and students studying statistically significant difference was observed in terms of empathy scores. However, statistically significant differences were observed in terms of optimism scores. optimism score of students studying Science High School was found to be significantly higher than high school students studying social sciences. Social Sciences and Science High School statistically significant differences were observed between the scores of students feeling emotion evaluation and scale of use.
