Asseessment of the aged perspective of university students in the context of social exclusion: The case of Yalova and Lodz university

Purpose of the research; To examine the social policies applied to prevent the social exclusion of elderly people in Turkey and Poland, the reflection on college youth, and the comparative analysis of their results. Documentation method and questionnaire technique were used to collect data in the research. The universe of study is the undergraduate students of Poland Lodz and Turkey Yalova University. The sample group consists of 669 students. The sample was determined by random sampling. 286 of the sample are in Lodz, 369 are of Yalova University. The obtained data were analyzed in the SPSS 20 program. The research is limited and meaningful by the group of resources and sample reached. The data obtained in the study are organized in three sections. In the first chapter, basic concepts and theories are examined; In the second part, policies applied to prevent the social exclusion of the elderly in Turkey and Poland are evaluated. In the third part, a comparative analysis of the perceptions of the students of Lodz University and Yalova University on aging was performed in the data obtained in practice. As a result, it has been understood that the policies applied to prevent the exclusion of elderly people in Turkey and Poland are not effective enough if policies are evaluated according to the aged viewpoints of university students.
