Creating an organizational climate based on social entrepreneurship: An application in Dumlupınar University

Social Entrepreneurship is regarded as an innovative process that pursue the many opportunities to creat social value and change or meet social need in many sector. Social entrepreneurship occured by finding new resources and combining those resources in a different way is an effort to create social value for the community. The term of organizational climate is related to the work environment refers to the more psychological aspects of the organization. These working climate prevailing in the institution which affects behaviors, feelings and attitudes of workers can be an important factor in success. Universities are extremely important in the implementation of social entrepreneurship. Therefore, this work's primary objective is investigating how universities need to have an organizational climate models to develop and promote social entrepreneurship in universities. For this purpose, this research was carried out 182 academic staff who worked in Dumlupınar University. Relations and interactions between variables was determined by correlation analysis and founding regression model for testing hypothesis. Verified analisies by founded regression models showed that significant relationship between variables. Organizational climate has been found to affect social entrepreneurship. This study have demonstrated that friendly climate prevailing in university with existing support of a administrators has significant positive effects on social entrepreneurship.
