Social service graduates unemployment problems and their social problems related to unemployment

After the industrial revolution, unemployment started to be one of the problems of the world. Being one of the leading problems in Turkey, unemployment has become massively apparent after the industrial revolution. It has gradually passed through new dimensions both in the world and in Turkey, and has changed the agenda to educated unemployment, diploma unemployment, white-collar unemployment. The problem of unemployment, which has recently been the agenda among social service graduates, has become widespread. The introduction of social service education in open education faculties caused a great increase in the number of social service graduates. With the opening of open education faculties and the increase in the number of social service departments in universities, the problem of unemployment has become widespread among social service graduates. The aim of this study is to reveal the problem of unemployment, which has become widespread among social service graduates. With this study, it has been tried to discover the unemployment and the social problems brought about by the unemployment that social service graduates experience. The scope of this study consists of unemployed social service graduates. The sample of the study was selected from those who graduated from the social service departments of 5 different universities in 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 academic years and are still unemployed. This study has been prepared using the descriptive research method. The unemployment problem and the problems caused by unemployment have been tried to be described with the descriptive research method. Interview form was used as the data collection method in the research. The findings obtained through the interview form were transcribed and deduced. According to the results of this study, social service graduates experience economic, psychological and social problems due to unemployment. Social service graduates experience social problems such as immigration, marriage delay, family pressure, social pressure, and social exclusion due to unemployment.
