The determination of beliefs of social work undergraduates for mental illness: Erzi̇ncan example

Mental illness is a kind of ongoing illness since humanbeing has existed. The collapse of the spirit has been a research topic just as getting exhausted or becoming sick of body. Because of the various reasons in society a certain culture based belief or attitude has been developed to the mental illness. Most of the time, this belief and attitude have a negative basis. In this thesis, it has been a mystery that how social works in community based occupations evaluated mental illness, and which criterias it gave attention while evaluating. Thus, as mental illness is being dealed a negative or positive belief (moving in) stands in an important place in terms of social work. Especially, the mental consideration of an client, reveals the quality of lessons of work in licence education. It has been used quantitative research technique and methods. Datas have been collected with helping of social work licence students and have been analyzed statistical SPSS. Eventually, about mental illness, the belives of social work licence students have been tried to determine. Resulting data has been commented with sociodemographic features. To understand the importance of mental illness, in social work education, it has been evaluated how meaningful lesson is psychiatric social work.
