Impact of Youtube on Turkish cinema from social media platforms: Receiving movies starring Youtubers by the viewer

The developments and changes throughout history have affected everything that has been watched, listened to and read over time, in short, every area of our lives.Since the 1980s, the internet, which has been used in the world and is becoming increasingly widespread, has become one of the milestones of the age.The developments have had a serious impact on the field of communication; New media, social media and new communication technologies are now being mentioned.When looking at the processes of the Internet consisting of web 1.0, web.2.0, web.3.0, web 4.0 periods, the user's activeness increased over time; the user has not only become a monitor, but also a manufacturer.As a result, people have become able to use the internet especially to access social media platforms in their daily lives. There was an interaction between cinema and social media platforms, which were initially seen as an entertainment tool and became an art form with the incorporation of george melies.This process has affected the cinema industries of the world as well as the stages of the Film Industry in Turkey.Especially with the changes in the construction phase, turkish cinema has started to feature films starring YouTube and youTubers, a video-based content community that is one of the social media platforms. In the study, how the video-based content community YouTube and the YouTube phenomenon YouTubers affect the Turkish Cinema Industry, how the movies in which YouTubers act are received by the audience; In the future, the questions of whether it is possible to talk about a sector where YouTubers are more active in the Turkish Cinema Industry or a new type of cinema consisting of YouTuber movies will be emphasized. In line with the sample determined in the study, content analysis was made on 10 movies of 9 YouTubers. A focus group interview was conducted to obtain data on the audience's reception of content-analyzed films; The data were analyzed using reception analysis.
