Abstract (EN)
Mass migration from rural to urban areas with increasing industrialization in Turkey has experienced. This led to unplanned and inadequate urbanization. As a result of intense migrations, cities have failed to meet the needs of the increasing population. The inadequacy of urbanization, employment for refugees, housing, health, education etc. has created various problems in terms of situations. Immigrants have begun to look for various solutions to solve these problems and to adapt to urban identity. These solutions come across as formal or informal networks. Hemşehri, which is the subject of our study, is one of the forms of non-formal relationships that gained importance during these periods. Groups that come together after migration keep social aid and solidarity alive between each other through citizenship. This relationship remains up-to-date as it helps a lot in adapting to the city. The patterns of solidarity and solidarity provided by the establishment of relations with hemşehri have been an effective factor in eliminating the problems of adaptation to the city that migrants face in the cities. This factor was initially seen as a buffering mechanism that would lose its effect after the individuals who migrated from their hemşehri adapted to the city. However, when we look at the present day, it is seen that the phenomenon of citizenship has become an effective force even in urban politics by not only losing its effect but also by developing and getting stronger. This work; on the one hand, it deals with national and foreign studies related to citizenship, thus engages in theoretical discussions about the citizenship and reveals the conceptual framework, on the other hand, it tries to understand whether theory and field overlap by conducting a field research with in-depth interview technique. In the foreign literature, the scope of the method used in the theoretical framework in which concepts like "hemşehri" are also examined, and for the first time, the subject of the Reşadians was evaluated because of the originality of the field research.
