Abstract (EN)
The education system is one of the key factors in the development of a country. The development of a certain country is dependent on the number and quality of its educated people. Similarly a social science is a course that helps to educate citizens of the country to become successful, active, social and good. This opportunity can realize only through socialization of the individuals. Socialization is a process that makes individuals to feel as a primary member of his society and to get confidence through his contributions to the community. Through this process the individual becomes a part of society. The textbooks of social sciences, therefore, have an important role in this process. Our research topic titles as ?The Role of Social Sciences Textbooks in Socialization through Sociological Perspectives?, examines the impact of the textbooks in this field on socialization. This study at the same time pays attention to the social aspects of education in a sociological approach. It also focuses on the wanted/unwanted reactions of the student during the process of socialization. This will help the individuals to know the rules that they should follow while they socialize. During the research project, first the related literature was searched, and then the textbooks of the field were examined. All books, written according to the new curriculum for grades 4 to 7 that are published by the Ministry of Education and by the private publishers were checked for their role in socialization. The educational documents and secondary literature were also used and benefited. At the end of our research, we concluded that there was indeed a role of the Social sciences textbooks in socialization, and they were successful in applying their role. They also contribute to the development of the cultural identity of the individuals. The individuals are quite socialized by studying those books. By educating students, social sciences contribute to the development of society and its country.
