Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to examine the relationships between leisure time satisfaction, psychological resilience and self-esteem levels of sports sciences faculty students. In this context, the relational screening model was used, which was consistent with the purpose of the quantitative study. The research group comprises 310 sports science faculty students, 107 women and 203 men. Convenience sampling was used to select the research group. A survey form consisting of four parts was used as a data collection tool. The first part of this survey form consists of the "Personal Information Form", the second part is the "Leisure Satisfaction Scale", the third part is the "Brief Resilience Scale", and the fourth part is the "TwoDimensional Self-Esteem: Self-Liking/Self-Competence Scale". First, descriptive statistics of the raw data obtained through this form were calculated, taking into account the data type. The study conducted difference and correlation analyses on the data obtained. In this context, it was found that there was a significant difference in favour of females within the "Psychological" sub-dimension of the Leisure Time Satisfaction Scale according to the gender variable of the participants. Additionally, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the "SelfLove" sub-dimension of the Self-Esteem Scale according to the grade variable of the participants. This significant difference between "3rd Grade" and "4th Grade" was observed in the fact that the difference between the 3rd-grade groups was in favour of the students in the 3rd grade. In addition, it was found that there were significant differences in the participants' leisure time satisfaction, self-esteem, and psychological resilience scores according to the variables of whether they actively engage in sports regularly, which was in favour of those who actively engage in sports regularly. On the other hand, no significant difference was detected in the scores regarding the dimensions of the scales according to the department variable. In addition, no significant relationship was found between the participants' age and income variables and their leisure time satisfaction, self-esteem and psychological resilience scores. However, it was observed that there were positive and significant relationships between the participants' self-esteem and psychological resilience. Additionally, it was determined that there were positive and significant relationships between the participants' leisure satisfaction and self esteem. In addition, it was found that there were positive significant relationships between the participants' leisure satisfaction and self-esteem. Accordingly, it can be concluded that as the participants' leisure satisfaction increases, their self-esteem and psychological resilience levels also increase.
