Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the relationship between digital game addiction and healthy eating attitudes. Today, digital game addiction, which has become increasingly widespread especially among university-aged young individuals, may negatively affect individuals' lifestyles, physical health, and psychosocial balance. In this context, determining whether individuals who spend an excessive amount of time playing digital games experience negative changes in their eating habits has become an important research topic. The population of the study consists of first-, second-, third-, and fourth-year students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Bayburt University during the 2024–2025 academic year. Data were collected using the Digital Game Addiction Scale and the Healthy Eating Attitude Scale. In the data analysis process, descriptive statistics as well as correlation and regression analyses were employed. As a result of the study, a statistically significant and negative relationship was found between students' levels of digital game addiction and their healthy eating attitudes. This finding indicates that a high level of digital game addiction may negatively affect healthy eating habits. The results obtained draw attention to the relationship between digital media use and lifestyle preferences among young individuals and contribute to the development of intervention programs aimed at supporting healthy lifestyle behaviors.
