Examination of subjective well-being levels of sports high school students at school compared to other high school students

Abstract (EN)

This research is a Comparative Screening Model research conducted to determine the subjective well-being levels of students studying in sports high schools and other high schools. The population of the research consists of high schools in Batman province. Purposive sampling method was preferred as a sample. Within the scope of the research, 380 questionnaire forms were distributed and 350 of them were suitable for analysis. Personal information form and subjective well-being scale at school were used in the study. In the study, kurtosis and skewness values were examined to determine whether the data were normally distributed and it was concluded that the data were normally distributed. IBM SPSS 27 programme was used to analyse the data obtained in the study. In this direction, frequency information of the participants, reliability, normal distribution tests, afa, dfa, t-test and anova analyses were performed. According to the results of the study, the level of subjective well-being at school of the students studying at sports high school is higher than the level of subjective well-being at school of the students studying at other high schools. While the subjective well-being levels of the students who participated in the research did not show a significant difference in terms of gender, class and place of residence during the education process, it showed a significant difference according to the variables of socioeconomic status and internet usage time.
