Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to examine and determine the effect of basketball training at the sports school level on some physical fitness and motoric properties. 23 boys (n=23) between the ages of 10-12, who had not received basketball training before, participated in the study voluntarily. In the measurements made in this study, the height, weight, vertical jump, horizontal jump, right leg flexibility, left leg flexibility, speed, balance and agility values of a single group were measured in 3 different periods. The normality of the measurements was teste dusing the Shapiro-Wilk Test, the most powerful test to test the assumption of normality, and wehaveless than 30 data. As a result of the normality test, height, weight, right leg flexibility, left leg flexibility, speed, balance measurements showed normal distribution. There maining verticaljump, horizontal jump and agility measurements did not show normal distribution. In theanalysis of normally distributed measurements, the Dependent Sample T-Test (Paired Sample T-Test)was used to compare two repeated measurements for a single group. In the analysis of non-normally distributed measurements, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test) was used to compare two repeated measurementsfor a singlegroup. The data obtained as a result of the measurement were analyzed in the SPSS 22.0 program. In statistical data analysis, a value of 0.05 was taken as a basis for significance level operations. As a result of the study; It was determined that there was a significant difference in the post-test results in the height, weight, verticaljump, horizontal jump, right and left leg flexibility, speed, balance and agility values of the children who participated in basketball training at the sports school level who had not played basketball before. It is based on ourpre-test data obtained before starting the training. Improvement was observed with the second test (intermediate test). Thethird test (post test) and the first and second tests were compared. It has been observed that some physical and motoric characteristics of the children whoregularly attend the education increase. At theend of thestudy, taking in to account the results of there search, suggestions were made to the experts, academicians and students who were interested in the subject and did research.
